IRVING, Texas (C-USA/SMU)--SMU track and field athlete Andrea Kvetova has been named to the Conference USA All-Academic team, as announced by the league office Thursday. The team consists of six athletes who carry at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA and served as a key component to their team's success.

Kvetova, a senior, recorded the longest javelin throw in the conference this season, besting her competition by over five meters. Her throw of 172'11" is the seventh-best in the nation this season and qualified her for the NCAA Midwest Regional. Kvetova was named the C-USA Athlete of the Week on April 22, following her outstanding performance at the Mount SAC Relays.

Kvetova is majoring in finance with a minor in economics and maintains a 3.94 GPA.
