FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (SMU) - Mustang senior Christina Mueller capped her career with a fifth-place finish in the discus at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, June 13, earning All-America honors in the process. Mueller's throw of 50.84m scored four points for the Mustang team on the final day of the meet, and helped SMU to a 52nd-place finish.
Also on Saturday, Mustang freshman Simone Du Toit competed in the discus and finished 10th with a 47.64m throw.
Late Friday night, SMU sophomore Silje Fjortoft ran in the 3,000m steeplechase final, but failed to finish, as she fell and was unable to continue.
