DALLAS (CoSIDA/SMU) - SMU graduate Kate Ackerson has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced today. This marks the third-straight season the Allen, Texas, native has been so honored.

A four-time All-C-USA golfer, Ackerson was also a unanimous selection to the 2009 C-USA Women's Golf All-Academic Team. Ackerson is a three-time NGCA All-America Scholar and a four-time C-USA Academic Medal winner and member of the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Ackerson graduated from SMU earlier this month with a degree in business.
