ENTRY 4 - MAR. 24, 2008 We're headed home. I wish the outcome had been different, but we didn't play well at all, and we were still in the game. It's just sad that the season has to end on a game like that. In a lot of ways, this season has been a great success. I started the season with three goals: break the SMU scoring record, break the SMU rebounding record, and most importantly, get to the NCAA Tournament. I was fortunate enough to reach all three. Getting to the NCAAs was the biggest thing. We're not happy that we got knocked out, but there are a lot of good teams that didn't make it at all. It was great to see so many SMU fans at the game yesterday. There are a lot of players whose families made the trip, but there also were a bunch who made the trip on their own. Some flew, some drove, but we really appreciated all of their support. They came a long way, and we can't thank them enough for their support. My immediate plans involve sleep, and a lot of it. For the future, I don't know. I'm working on my Master's degree in Liberal Studies now. If the WNBA presents itself, I'll take a look at that. But if that's not the route I end up going, I'm hoping to find a job that will pay for my last year of school, so I can finish up my Master's next year. I couldn't ask for more than I got by coming to SMU. In high school, I played tennis and basketball, and I made the right choice sticking with basketball, and I definitely made the right choice coming to SMU. |
