2007-08 (So.): First-team All-Conference USA selection... Spent most of the season ranked in the ITA polls... Played at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, compiling a 16-6 singles record for the season, including an 8-1 mark at No. 2... Started the spring by defeating two ranked opponents... Wnt 12-5 in doubles, pairing with Alex Skrypko and David Kuczer... Advanced to the quarterfinal round of the main draw at the ITA South Central Regionals by knocking off Louisiana-Lafayette's Arlen Domoney in straight sets (6-2, 6-4), advancing him to the field of 64. He then beat Miguel Varela of Texas (7-6, 4-1 Ret (inj.)) to move on to the field of 32, where he upset ninth-seeded Matt Brown of Baylor (6-4, 5-7, 6-4) to advance to the field of 16. Fahgen then beat David Galic of Baylor (6-3, 5-7, 6-3) and moved on to the quarterfinal round, where he was eliminated by Texas' Luis Diaz Barriga (7-6, 6-0). 2006-07 (RS-Fr.): Played at No. 5 singles most of the season but also seeing time at No. 4 and 6... Posted Overall record of 16-5... Posted five match win streak to end the season... Paired with Oivind Alver at No. 2 doubles for 12-7 record... Personal: Son of Glenn and Kerstin Fahgen... Has an older sister.... Majoring in economics at SMU. |
