EULESS (SMU) - SMU's Aaron Stewart shot a final-round 70 to finish third at the Collegiate Players Tour's National Championship at Texas Star. SMU's Marc Sambol, who began Thursday's round tied for second, shot 79 to tie for 10th.

Stewart (70-72-70) finished at 2-over 212, while Sambol (71-67-79) carded a 7-over 217 for the 54-hole event. Ross Beal won the event at 5-under 205.

Stewart and Sambol qualified for the Championships after finishing one-two at the Collegiate Players Tour event at Lagoon Park Golf Course earlier this summer.
