WESTLAKE (SMU) - SMU Head Coach June Jones helped lead his foursome to a first-place finish at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship's Celebrity-Am at Vaquero Club on Tuesday, April 23. Playing alongside former Mustang punter Dodge Carter, Philip Cullum and Donny Evans, Jones and the group carded a blazing 52 to better the field by two shots.

The celebrities, who also included SMU basketball coach Matt Doherty, Brett Hull, Roger Staubach, Rayfield Wright and Tim Brown, played golf in the name of charity at one of Texas' most exclusive clubs. With approximately 25 groups and three amateurs per team, Tuesday's event generated more than $500,000 for the Salesmanship Club's Youth and Family Centers.
