DALLAS (AP) - Mouhammad Faye had 11 points and 12 rebounds for SMU, Edvinas Ruzgas scored 22 points as TCU rallied in the second half to defeat SMU 60-53 Wednesday night in the State Farm DFW Duel.
Zvonko Buljan (nine rebounds) and Ronnie Moss each added 14 points for the Horned Frogs (5-3), had to overcome a 28-23 halftime deficit.
Papa Dia and Derek Williams led the Mustangs (2-3) with 16 points apiece while Mouhammad Faye recorded his first career double-double. Faye also tied his career-high with three blocked shots.
Ruzgas shot 7 for 10 from the field, including 4 for 5 from 3-point range. He and Moss each scored eight points during TCU's momentum-changing run.
After trailing 50-38 with 7:33 left, SMU pulled to within one twice in the final 3:14 but couldn't retake the lead.
The Horned Frogs fell behind 8-0 and didn't score until Buljan hit two free throws with 12:23 remaining in the first half.
