The SMU Mustangs hit the road for the second straight game, playing at Tulane on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Mustangs are looking to get back to .500 overall and in Conference USA after a 56-53 loss at Southern Miss on Tuesday night. That loss snapped SMU's four-game winning-streak. In seven C-USA games, the Mustangs defense has held opponents 15.4 points off their scoring average with only Rice reached its scoring average.

Fans attending the game are asked to wear red to show support for the Mustangs. To aid in the effort, the SMU Athletic Department will distribute red SMU Basketball t-shirts to the first 1,500 fans through the gates on gameday.

The SMU Mustangs travel to Rice for a C-USA game on Wednesday at 7 p.m. This is the 189th meeting between these rivals that have been league foes since the 1918-19 season. SMU leads 114-74 all-time and has won three of the last four meetings. SMU is looking for its first league win, falling by a total of 12 points to UTEP (49-45), Tulsa (63-56), and UAB (63-62) in three C-USA games. SMU has held those opponents to 18.5 points below their scoring average entering the game. SMU then returns to Moody Coliseum for three straight home games beginning with a non-conference game against Houston Baptist on Saturday at 2 p.m., then C-USA contests against UCF on Jan 27 and Memphis on Jan. 30.

DALLAS (SMU) --- SMU, CBS College Sports Network and Time Warner Cable have reached an agreement to televise nine SMU basketball games on Metro Sports in the Dallas/Fort Worth market and The Texas Channel in Corpus Christi, Waco, Austin, Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio markets. Metro Sports will carry six men's games and three women's games.

Cameron Moore scored on a transition layup with 1:11 remaining, culminating a 24-point second-half comeback, and UAB held on to defeat SMU 63-62 on Saturday. Elijah Millsap had 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Blazers (15-2, 3-0 Conference USA), and George Drake added 14 points. Derek Williams, who led SMU (6-10, 0-3) with 23 points, missed a layup with a second left. Papa Dia had 11 points for the Mustangs. The Blazers trailed 50-26 with 14:41 remaining. Millsap sparked the rally, scoring 16 of his points in the second half.
